Good Luck, Elisabeth

Since I unintentionally missed her going-away party last night, I headed to Contra Costa County this afternoon to hang out for a little while with my friend, Elisabeth, who is moving to Oklahoma next week. After tossing my laptop in the satchel for the big ride, I hopped in my car and drove up to the Millbrae BART station. After riding the train for two hours to Concord, I grabbed a cab (how is it that suburban cab drivers suck so much?), got her a little present, and went over to hang out.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay very long and I didn’t want to interrupt their lunch, so I headed out after about 45 minutes, hiking just over two miles to the BART station with my laptop satchel under my jacket as the rain started. I wrote some beats with Reason on the way home.

Hey, good luck in whatever you end up doing, Elisabeth. I wish I could have hung out with you more. Let me know when you’re back in California next and I’ll buy you some Indian food, or something.
