Meeting the Mark
This morning, a full week before Thanksgiving and despite an injury month off the bike because of an inattentive driver, I reached my 2004 cycling goal of 4000 miles. The odometer clicked through 4000 near Middlefield and California in Palo Alto. The 4000th actual mile came as I rolled past 835 Maude Avenue in Mountain View, just after sunrise this morning.
I think I deserve me a prize now.
