StopSpot

StopSpot yet again. I’m nothing if not predictable. I arrived at 9:15, slipped in, took a seat, and waited. At eleven, the club was still fairly empty, though there were a few of us on the hardwood in front of the 1200s. I didn’t run into any of the people I met there last week, though they purported to be regulars. I had the feeling that the crowd was sparse because of TimeSpace, which was a production of Saturday crew, Staple, among other people. I had planned on going to that, but I decided against paying fifteen bucks, cautiously conserving my miniscule amount of cash so as to allow myself to go out to clubs in the lean weekends of early March, when rent has consumed my first-of-the-month paycheck.

The music was very smooth, though, with house-veteran John Howard on the decks. I danced until 1:30. By then, it was time for Denny’s.
