I am so sorry about your crash. I just got out of the hospital myself from my bicycle crash. I"m hoping you're going to be restored 100 percent.

Thank you!

I hope you are doing as well as to be expected. I know one of the office people at Stanford Trauma Center, and she has been a real blessing. You were fortunate that you were sent to that Trauma Center.

We had his "trophy" helmet sent to their staff to x-ray to extrapolate the "what type of head injuries" scenario, and to be donated eventually for Education in the schools for Children.

I teach music to young people and stressed the ultimate importance of your last narrration to each of them. My students have given the Boyscout and Girlscout pledge, and a thank you as a reminder. They too wish you a quick recovery.

I will be contacting the Attorney listed abovein the blog as well. And I have found another listing with another firm if you are intrested. Please contact me anytime.
By the way, I and my husband missed the California Tour Race that day, but my friend got great pictures! Those guys are MACHINES! Love to share them with you when your up for visitors.

Highest regards Apollo,
Cyclists am/pm Nurse, Sandra

Please allow me to express my best wishes for the speedy recovery of your husband and my solidarity as a fellow cyclist who lost a tangle with a car.

As far as networking clubs, Fremont is the home of Fremont Freewheelers, a cycling club dedicated to bicycle safety, advocacy, and education. All such bike clubs are full of members who have, themselves, also been hit by cars and there's a feeling of solidarity and comradeship. Other organizations in the area include the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, the East Bay Bicycle Coalition, and the League of American Bicyclists (national).

Needless to say, the strong intent of the feeling of a Wife of a Cyclist can become even more energetic than wht I have read. My hsband, Fremont was hit by an auto while out as a spectator to photograph theAthletes on the California Tour. Hehas sutained serious inry. His helmut saved his lfe.

We have yet to determine the findings of all the injuries, but dislocated shoulders, broken shoulders, concussions, vicodin, and hemotomas really are not fun. However, I restraining myself from "how I really feel" I am horrified. And my husband is taking this well. He has a good attitude, well at least every 4 hours until the pain meds taper off.

I am so sorry to read of all the news in Menlo Park. Blessings to you, and your family.

Does anyone know of any Networking clubs to help these victims?
If so, give me a ping.

Motherfuck. Just goes to show how much many motorists suck. There is my diatribe, I'm glad you survived too, Apollo. Recovery from any serious bicyle accident is tough. After you've recovered you can wait until it happens again--who knows--maybe next year--3 years in a row!

Oh Apollo.

I'm so glad you survived! What a nightmare, and I'm sorry I didn't see this before now.

My wife completely freaks about stuff like this, so I probably shouldn't mention it on my site... but I will.

I hope you're back on the bike next year. You may even come back stronger than you ever were before... I did, after I was mangled in 98.

I'm so glad that you got to write this blog, and that I wasn't seeing a link to another grim news article. I hope you feel better soon - I have had a few unpleasant incidents myself, and I thank the seatbelt and helmet every time. Here's to a quick recovery and getting back on a bike!
