Apollo, nice work. What kind of equipment are you using to track your rides and mileage? I am looking into a gps unit.

Thanks.

I use the Cateye Mity 8 cyclometer, my Palm Tungsten E, a paper log book, and my nearly obsessive attention to detail. I chose the Mity 8 after my Tomo XC died over the equally cool Astrale 8 because of the ability to put your odometer back to where it was, if you have to change the battery. That let me put my full cumulative mileage on it (instead of being off by 150ish miles like I was before I got the Mity 8.

I update my statistics every day that I ride. I also keep a log (which just lost 2200 miles of data) on my Palm, usually markers (odo mileages divisible evenly by 100) and other trivia. I think I’m gonna remember to synch my Palm more frequently in the future.

I haven’t invested in a GPS unit, although it would be nifty to get one and mount it to my bars, particularly so I can track climbing mileage. Once I get motivated enough to ride real hills, I’ll think about doing that.

Thanks for your comment.
