Full Circle

Ah, Thanksgiving. What a day. I didn’t do much of anything today, except mess around with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, a new acquisition for the PlayStation. I ate some pasta for dinner and decided to check out a source for something to do. Said source recommended Full Circle at Club 238. I hadn’t been there before and Jenö was billed, so I reckoned it would be fun to check out.

I got started later than I usually do, arriving at Kearney and Columbus around eleven. I parked (and got my first SF parking ticket!) and wandered into the club.

It was a trippy sort of venue, with an ovaline dancefloor enclosed by brushed steel and railings. An array of four differently-sized disco balls accented the center of the dancefloor, which, on inspection, stuck to my feet in the same manner as a basketball court. I felt like I wanted to try some three-pointers, because the surface had no slide or give whatsoever.

Jenö didn’t make it. Resident DJs Norm Stradley and Ben Doren kept the music pumping along until 5. I ran into Ernie and Fe Ann, a couple from Fremont that I run into frequently at the Rawhide, who told me about a party on Saturday in China Basin. It seems like it’ll be worth a check out.

A great outing, involving me singing and dancing my ass off. Can’t wait for tomorrow.
