StopSpot

Another Friday night at StopSpot. On this particular weekend, my coworker, Emmett, decided to hang with me. We headed up to the city in the pouring rain. He said that he never went out to clubs and that he wasn’t quite sure how to dance. We arrived at 9:45.

Emmett needed very little instruction, as he immediately jumped out onto the dancefloor (despite the club being quite empty at ten) and started getting his groove on. Not quite sure how to dance, indeed. He was doing as well in that department as anyone else. The point is to have a good time, which he seemed to be doing.

I felt pretty drained for this event, but willed my energy up a bit. They didn’t open the second section of the dancefloor where the pool tables are, so it got quite crowded, but the music was great and there was a small group of people that I danced with who really loved my vocal accompaniments (I’m a musician…sue me, I like to sing while I’m dancing sometimes).

I met Sally and her friend, Chris. On the way out to the car, Emmett and I ended up in a very fun gabfest with Lisa (not the Lisa from Atlanta, obviously), Monique, and Taylor, who were the sort of people I could seriously hang out with alot. Except for the fact that they live in San Francisco and I live in Mountain View.

What a fun night.
