Lime Light

I was planning on going to RhythMethod for the second time, but I didn’t get around to going out until way too late to get there at a reasonable hour. Had dinner with Kai and the eBizApps crew. He bought me a book about people who eat bugs. Tasty.

So, I went to Lime Light. I had such a good time, dancing myself into exhausted oblivion with very delightful women, particularly the lovely Natasha.

While I was up on the stage, as I was a good proportion of the evening, I noticed the “DJ.” My jaw dropped in astonishment. Get this: there was a pair of Technics 1200s in the little booth thing. Sitting on top of the covers of these industry standard DJ tools, was a pair of laptop computers. the “DJ” was “spinning” with a pair of laptops using WinAmp and some other software, plus CDs, running a mixer between them. Again, I emphasize: the 1200s were sitting there idle, not even powered up, looking as though they had never been used, even once.

Am I the only one saddened by this state of affairs?
